Figures published by the Tribunals Service showed that employers increasingly face the threat of legal action from staff, as the number of employment tribunal claims rose 15 per cent in the last 12 months.
Tribunal Service statistics revealed that the number of cases reaching an employment tribunal increased from 115,039 in 2005/06 to 132,577 in 2006/07.
"Employers need to educate their workforce about what is and is not acceptable conduct in the workplace or risk discrimination and harassment claims," said AMJ senior employment solicitor Donna Ingleby. More

The Enterprise Agency deals with numerous enquiries from
individuals and businesses requesting information for suppliers of
various products and services. In the past the Agency has had a very
small referral list which it passes on. Please contact the Agency for an
