The Grimsby and Cleethorpes Enterprise Agency proved its worth in advising small
and growing businesses last night. Two agency clients, Science Matters and ArtsGraphica
were awarded runner-up prizes in the Northern Lincolnshire Business Awards 2003.
300 local business and industry leaders gathered at the Winter Gardens in
Cleethorpes to celibrate the year's business success stories. Former Chancellor
Norman Lamont and Grimsby MP Austin Micthell entertained the audience with
speeches about local business and the merits and woes of the Euro before the
presentations began.
The New Business award : Sponsored by the Grimsby and Cleethorpes Enterprise
Agency was won by Lincolnshire Belting Services. A Grimsby company involved
in the supply and fabrication of conveyor belting and on site servicing. The
company, which started with just two people a year a ago, has several customers
in the South Humber and is growing strongly.
Runners-up were Science Matters of Habrough, a consultancy service working
with education and business to promote science, and ArtsGraphica, a Grimsby
multi-media and web design business. Both companies have benefitted from the
help and assistance of the Grimsby and Cleethorpes Enterprise Agency and are
making excellent progress.
