Businesses urged to ensure safety of customer data
Businesses are being urged to ensure their customers' data is stored securely in order to boost public confidence. Research by insurance firm RSA revealed that 90% of people in the UK think personal information held by businesses such as banks, retailers and online auction sites is not secure. Almost half of those surveyed (46%) think retailers and banks aren't doing enough to protect personal data. Careless business employees are the greatest threat to customers' personal information, according to the survey results. There is more on this story at:
