National pension plan delay announced
The new national pension plan due to be implemented in April 2012 could face a delay, it has been announced. The chief executive of the Personal Accounts Delivery Authority told the BBC's MoneyBox program he did not know whether the planned date was achievable. The national plan will see everyone in work automatically enrolled in a work based pension scheme or a new personal account. People can opt out if they wish but will be opted back in automatically every three years.
