New chair for Health and Safety Commission
Judith Hackitt has been appointed as the new chair of the Health and
Safety Commission (HSC). Ms Hackitt, who succeeds Sir Bill Callaghan,
has been appointed for a five-year term starting on 1 October. She has
previously worked as a Commissioner and is currently working as the
Director of the Chemistry for Europe project with the European Chemical
Industry Council in Brussels.
